Azelaic acid is a pharmaceutical anti-acne agent that provides anti bacterial and comedolytic properties.
Its effective in the treatment of mild to moderate acne and has skin lightening effects which fades acne scars and hyperpigmentation.

Azelaic acid can be irritating to some people therefore a patch test is required or build up usage gradually.
